Jaggery Dhal Burfi

Ingredients

  • Green gram dhal (pasi paruppu) – 200gm
  • Shruti’s jaggery – 200 gm
  • Ghee – 4 teaspoon
  • Milk – 1 cup

Cooking Method

1. In a pan and 200 grams of dhal and roast it till it turns aromatic and golden.
2. Let it cool down once cooled, grind it to fine powder.
3. Add 200 gm Shruti’s jaggery powder to this flour and grind again to fine powder.
4. Add 2 tea spoons ghee to a pan and heat it, once heated add dal-Jaggery mix, and stir well.
5. Add 1 cup of milk to this mix and continue stirring.
6. Stir continuously until it becomes thick and separates from the pan.
7. Burfi mix is ready now.
8. Transfer the burfi mixture into a greased mould or plate.
9. Let’s wait for 30 minutes to cool down and set.
10. Then cut into pieces of your desired shape, here I am making them into square shapes.
